Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Anders Goldfire (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Lewis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lewis is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Numb by Linkin Park. John Lewis has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Anders Goldfire!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, John Lewis!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Wesley Smith and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lewis moves in looking to clinch but Goldfire pushes him off.
Goldfire looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Lewis tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Goldfire was well out of range. Poor timing from Lewis.
Lewis swats away the attempt to clinch by Goldfire.
Goldfire misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Lewis on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Goldfire. Goldfire obviously looking to wear him down.
Lewis tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Goldfire manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Goldfire fails to land with a series of punches.

Lewis will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Goldfire up against the cage.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

OK we're going to have a standup here. John Lewis hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

and Lewis holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Lewis works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Goldfire shoots in and drives through. Lewis sprawls well.
Lewis ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Goldfire moves away.
Lewis misses with a head kick.
Lewis wants to clinch up but Goldfire keeps it at a distance.
Lewis fails with an attempt to clinch.
Lewis tries a head kick but it misses.
Lewis is looking to clinch but Goldfire is avoiding it.

Goldfire just misses with a punch to the body.
Lewis takes a shot right to the bread basket.

Lewis moves into range and clinches up with Goldfire.
Goldfire fails to pull guard.
Goldfire gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Lewis.
Goldfire is trying to break free.

Lewis's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Lewis pushes Goldfire up against the cage in a clinch.

Lewis escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Goldfire looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Lewis is fending him off so far but Goldfire persists. Nope, Lewis circles away and we're back to standing.

Anders Goldfire seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Lewis drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Goldfire can't do much from the bottom here.
Lewis is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Goldfire prevents Lewis from moving into mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Lewis uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Goldfire.

Lewis clinches up with Goldfire and pushes him back against the cage.
Lewis wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Goldfire fails to pull guard.
Goldfire avoiding damage as Lewis throws knees to the body.
Lewis wants to break free but Goldfire has control.
Goldfire keeps control of Lewis as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Lewis's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Goldfire fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Lewis shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Goldfire pinned against the cage. Goldfire gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Lewis breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Lewis throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Goldfire shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Goldfire was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Lewis is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

John Lewis showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!



Lewis manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Goldfire on his heels. He'll look to pass Goldfire's guard now, I'm sure.

Goldfire manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Lewis manages to get himself to full guard.

Goldfire really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

John Lewis is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Goldfire is trying to escape the position but Lewis is controlling the position.

I would just about give that final round to John Lewis.
