Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bing Boom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Haiki Masatupo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Colin Fray and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Masatupo misses with a head kick.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Masatupo is defended easily by Boom.
Masatupo shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Boom counters with a nice low kick that buckles Masatupo's knee momentarily.
Masatupo throws an overhand right that lands on Boom's shoulder, as Boom tries to avoid the shot.
Boom displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Masatupo throws out the jab.
Boom throws out a leg kick but Masatupo moves out of range and Boom only half commits.
Boom throws a push kick but Masatupo slaps the foot to one side.

Haiki Masatupo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Masatupo might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Boom kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Masatupo is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Boom is aware though and is defending well.

Haiki Masatupo showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Masatupo is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Boom knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Boom is being controlled here.
Let's hope that Masatupo has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Haiki Masatupo was stalling too much, according to the referee.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Masatupo crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Boom - the referee stops the clock and Masatupo gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Boom. Masatupo manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Haiki Masatupo is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Boom throws a poor cross that misses
and Masatupo cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Masatupo shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Boom pinned against the cage. Boom gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Boom catches Masatupo napping and connects with a big right hand that sends Masatupo to the canvas!
And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Bing Boom.
I think Masatupo has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Haiki Masatupo spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
