Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Craig Owens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nomid Nair (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Owens comes to the ring accompanied by The Undertaker's Thirst For Revenge Is Unquenchable. Nomid Nair has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Nomid Nair!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Elvis Blanc and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Owens throws a head kick that misses.

Owens changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Nair looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Owens stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Owens forces Nair back against the ropes and clinches.

Owens manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Owens is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Owens knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Nair on the ground.

Owens darts in and clinches Nair up against the ropes.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Owens fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Nair sprawls well initially but Owens persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Owens is taking a breather. Nair says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

and Owens counters with a three punch combo that has Nair backing up. Nair nods at Owens to acknowledge the strikes.
