The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A nice leg kick lands there from Speed.
Speed shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Vanagandr pinned against the cage. Vanagandr gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Speed shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Speed throws a poor cross that misses
and Vanagandr counters with a straight right hand.

It looks like Cameron Speed has been cut.
Vanagandr slaps away a takedown attempt from Speed, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Vanagandr keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Vanagandr lands a nice hook to Speed's body. Speed takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Speed tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Vanagandr was well out of range. Poor timing from Speed.

A telegraphed right hand from Vanagandr misses the target.
Vanagandr takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Speed throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Vanagandr is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Speed.

Speed throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Vanagandr sends Speed crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Vanagandr is motioning to the referee to let Speed up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Speed is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Vanagandr pushing out the jab but it's not landing.

Vanagandr uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Speed.
Speed ducks under a wild hook from Vanagandr.
Vanagandr displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Speed.
Vanagandr throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Speed stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Vanagandr moves out of range of the leg kick from Speed.
Vanagandr throws a shot from downtown. Speed moves away and avoids it.
Speed fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Vanagandr is out of range.
Vanagandr throws a looping overhand right but Speed ducks down to avoid it.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Speed. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Both fighters step back and shake their arms out. Vanagandr engages and cracks Speed with a massive lead left hook - Speed tumbles to the floor, out cold! What a shot! Vanagandr is delighted - all that hard work in training paid off!
