The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nyde avoids the body shot from Scaletta.
Scaletta dives in and grabs Nyde's left leg, looking for a takedown. Nyde pushes down on Scaletta's head and hops out.
Scaletta circles away from the clinch attempt.
Scaletta doesn't manage to clinch there - Nyde circles away.
Scaletta swats away the attempt to clinch by Nyde.
Scaletta throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Nyde lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
It looks like Vito Scaletta has been cut.
Nyde scores with a push kick.
Scaletta is breathing heavily.

Scaletta circles away from the clinch attempt.
Nyde closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Scaletta did well to prevent Nyde getting side control.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Nyde has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Scaletta defend it? Nyde steps over the head and cranks it - Scaletta is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Nyde!

A less than humble Dee Nyde misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
