Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ray King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Conrad (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Conrad's choice of entrance music: Rider Part II. Jack Conrad has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ray King!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jack Conrad!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Trevor Gratis and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Conrad scores with a hook.
Conrad ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
King throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
King swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

King gets tackled into the cage by Conrad. Conrad maintains the clinch.
A short right from Conrad on the inside.
King lands with a light punch inside.
King trying to control the position but instead, Conrad has worked for underhooks and has pushed King into the cage.

Conrad lands a hook to the side of the head.
King lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Conrad keeps control of King as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
King is trying to maintain a safe position but Conrad gets an underhook and turns King into the cage.
Conrad drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
King gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Conrad.

King is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Nice body punch from Conrad - that landed with a thud.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Conrad.
King misses with a short punch on the inside.
Conrad tries to work over King's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Conrad managing to block the knees to the body from King.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Conrad loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Conrad stays in close to King's body and controls the position.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Conrad connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused King some visible discomfort.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Conrad wants to control for a moment but King uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.

Conrad has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

and King counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Conrad shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Conrad showed some decent athleticism there.
King regains full guard. Nicely done.

Conrad closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

King is looking to control Conrad's arms but Conrad gets an underhook and turns him. Now King has his back to the cage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Conrad throws a punch but it's blocked by King.

King looks to throw an elbow but misses.
King blocks an uppercut.
King trying to stall but Conrad improves his position.

King pushes off an throws an elbow but Conrad leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Conrad has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. King avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Conrad's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Conrad blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
King tries to break free but Conrad pushes him back against the cage.

Conrad lands a right hand.
Conrad lands a shoulder strike.
A quick uppercut on the inside from King.
King has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Conrad wants a takedown but no success here.
Conrad trying to control the position but instead, King has worked for underhooks and has pushed Conrad into the cage.
Conrad scores with a shoulder strike.
King is trying to force a seperation but Conrad has the dominant position.
Conrad misses with a short punch on the inside.
Conrad lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of King backwards.
Jack Conrad seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.

King prevents the takedown attempt.
Ray King has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jack Conrad.

Conrad uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by King.
King circles away from the clinch attempt.
Conrad fails with a takedown attempt.
Conrad misses with a wild body shot.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
King misses with a straight right.
King loads up on a big right hand but Conrad slips the punch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jack Conrad showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The cut man is working on Ray King's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Conrad takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Conrad throws a quick inside leg kick.
Conrad tries a head kick but it misses.
Conrad wants to clinch up but King keeps it at a distance.
King tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Conrad was well out of range. Poor timing from King.
An inside leg kick lands from Conrad.
Conrad catches King with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Conrad keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from King.
King getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
King misses with a straight right.
Crunch! Conrad slams his shin into King's torso.

King throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

King is fighting off a takedown attempt but Conrad is just too persistent for him and manages to trip King to the mat. King regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Conrad tries to free his leg and advance position but King is retaining full guard.
King controls Conrad momentarily but Conrad frees himself.
King is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Conrad dives into side control.

Jack Conrad is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

King tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Conrad wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Jack Conrad has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Conrad slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
King misses with a looping right.
King throws a jab but it's blocked by Conrad.

Conrad shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Conrad is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Conrad takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Ray King has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Conrad's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that's the end of the fight!
Jack Conrad comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Conrad has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
