Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Diego Bermudez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, New Tall Guy!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Josh West and Colin Fray.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Guy tries for a takedown but Bermudez circles away easily
and Bermudez counters with a big head kick but Guy shrugs it off.
Bermudez lands a jab to the head.
A jab from Bermudez finds it's way through Guy's defenses.

Bermudez instigates a clinch.
Guy jumps guard but Bermudez turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Bermudez manages to break the clinch.

Guy gets caught napping as Bermudez dives in and scores a takedown. Guy manages to retain guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Guy trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
Guy has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Guy is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Guy pushes Bermudez off and scrambles back to his feet.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Guy shoots for a takedown but Bermudez saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Diego Bermudez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of New Tall Guy.
Guy misses with a takedown

and Bermudez counters with a shoot takedown. Guy fights it but they end up in guard.
Bermudez is breathing heavily.

Guy working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bermudez doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Guy is tightening it up a little... Bermudez has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Bermudez reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Bermudez taps out! Nice BJJ there by Guy!
