Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dave Mix (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Dawson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dawson scores with a hook.
Dawson uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Mix.
Dawson lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Dawson with a nice cross.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Mix tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Mix tries to clinch there but Dawson circles away.
Nice takedown defense from Dawson. No joy for Mix on that attempt.
Mix looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Dawson is fending him off so far but Mix persists. Nope, Dawson circles away and we're back to standing.
Mix could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Nice uppercut there from Dawson.

It looks like Dave Mix has been cut.
Dawson misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Mix shoots in but no luck this time.

Dawson lands with an uppercut that bounces Mix off the cage and back into range.
Dawson is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.

Mix looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Dawson is looking to escape.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mix wants to free his trapped foot but Dawson is holding on for dear life with his legs.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Dave Mix.
Dawson sizes up Mix with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Dawson has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Dawson displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Mix.
Mix will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Mix takes a kick to the side of the head.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Mix moves forwards but Dawson connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Dawson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Dawson pushes Mix away with a front kick.
Mix is breathing heavily.
Dawson misses with a head kick.
Dawson lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Dawson connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Mix's hands.

Mix is rocked!
Dawson lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Oh Mix is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Mix is looking to clinch but Dawson is avoiding it.
Mix seems to have got his legs back now.
Mix doesn't manage to clinch there - Dawson circles away.
Dave Mix seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Mix takes one on the button.
Dawson might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Dawson lands a lovely overhand right.
Mix shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Dawson defends it nicely.
Michael Dawson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Dawson goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Dawson lunges in with a left hook that violently twists Mix head around and knocks him out cold! Dawson hops onto the cage and yells out at the top of his lungs - Yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaah! They're showing the replay on the big screens now; that was nasty! I hope one of the photographers got a good shot of it.
