Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Abdullah Griffin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Curly Howard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fight moves into the clinch position.
A short body shot lands from Howard as the two fighters clinch.
Griffin blocks an elbow strike.
Griffin prevents a body shot from Howard.
Griffin has had enough of the clinch but Howard keeps him there for the moment.
A battle for position here, against the cage.
Howard throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Griffin tries to pull guard but Howard holds him up against the cage and eventually Griffin drops back down to his feet.
Howard stalling.
Howard throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Griffins head.

Griffin is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Griffin is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Howard is aware though and is defending well.
Howard looking to sit in guard and control but Griffin gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Griffin trying to control but Howard is working from the bottom.
Howard has control of Griffin's left arm, preventing Griffin from doing any damage.
Griffin engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

Howard wants to control the position but Griffin says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
Howard is looking to improve his position.
Griffin is thwarting Howard's attempts to control the position.
Howard wants to get back to full guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Howard has a hand on Griffin's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Griffin takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Griffin looking to control but Howard is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Griffin has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Howard's face.

Howard gets back to half guard.
Griffin lands strikes from half guard.

Howard tries to roll over but Griffin keeps him under control.
Griffin slows the pace down in half guard.
Howard is not content to let Griffin control the position.
Griffin trying to mount his opponent but Howard defends it.

Howard wants to control but Griffin is keeping busy and won't allow it.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Howard plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Griffin on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

and Howard counters with an inside leg kick.
Griffin is breathing heavily.
Howard throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Griffin.
A nice leg kick lands there from Howard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

and Howard counters with an outside leg kick.
Howard jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Griffin takes a jab right on the kisser.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Curly Howard dominated that round.
That's time! Griffin's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Howard throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Howard, right into the meat.
Howard throws a sloppy head kick and Griffin moves out of range easily.

Griffin throws a shot from downtown. Howard moves away and avoids it.

Abdullah Griffin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Griffin misses with a takedown attempt - Howard sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Nice takedown defense from Howard. No joy for Griffin on that attempt.
Curly Howard seems to be getting the better of the standup.

A chopping leg kick lands by Howard.

Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Howard! Griffin is out on his feet! Howard rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Griffin is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Griffin is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
