Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
12 - 12 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Arthur Green!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
16 - 10 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Eddie Penn!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Viktor Lagutenko and Vladimir Khabensky.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Penn closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Green has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Penn is working away from the top position though.
Penn thows a huge punch but Green dodges it nicely.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Penn thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Green's head.
Green wants to get back to full guard.
Penn is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Green!

Green is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Penn is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Penn throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Green feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Penn working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Green doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Green manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Green drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Penn dives on top into guard.
Green looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Penn passes into half guard.
Penn is trying to control the action in half guard but Green is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Penn is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Green doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Penn.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Penn drops back looking for a leg! Green is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Green manages to kick Penn off! Penn jumps back into Green's guard.
Green has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Penn is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Green.
Penn is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Green is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Green sneaks out the side door and pushes Penn away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Green.
Green swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Arthur Green seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
No joy there for Penn, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Well Penn has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
