Smith comes into the arena with Me Against The World blaring out of the sound system. Jason Smith had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jason Smith!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
13 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Norwegian Viking!
The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Roger Salmon and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Viking's waist but Viking gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Smith off to one side.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Smith is defended easily by Viking.
Smith shoots in for a takedown but Viking shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jason Smith. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Nice jab there from Viking.

and Viking counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Smith shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Viking as he avoids it easily.

Viking swings widly with a right hand
and Smith counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Viking has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Smith off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Jason Smith seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Smith tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Viking swivels and escapes.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Smith.
Smith landing strikes.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Viking pushes Smith away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Smith gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Smith is working Viking over with some ground and pound from side control.
Smith passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Viking!
Smith lands with some strikes.
Viking is trying to stand.
Smith controlling his opponent.
The referee warns Viking that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Smith working for a submission but Viking is keeping him at bay.
Viking tries to buck Smith off but he can't manage it.
Smith lands a nice shot to the head.
Viking is rocked!
Smith postures up and throws a big right hand. BOOM! Right on the button! Viking is out cold - huge knockout for Smith!

After winning the bout, Jason Smith thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
