Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Oswaldo Barra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fink McIllhenny (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Oswaldo Barra!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Fink McIllhenny!
The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Paulo Santos and Thiago Cunha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barra tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
McIllhenny lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Barra walks into a straight right hand from McIllhenny.
Barra throws a nice looking combination but McIllhenny bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
No joy there for Barra, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
A lazy left from McIllhenny finds it's target.

and McIllhenny counters with a three punch combo that has Barra backing up. Barra nods at McIllhenny to acknowledge the strikes.
Barra uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from McIllhenny.

Barra tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. McIllhenny just stands there and leans against the cage.

McIllhenny has picked Barra up - he's going for a ride! McIllhenny dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Barra is staying active underneath McIllhenny, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
McIllhenny passes the guard and advances to mount!
Barra tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Barra is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

McIllhenny is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Barra is just riding it out for now. McIllhenny eventually gives up the hold.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Barra tries to close the distance and clinch up but McIllhenny swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Barra throws a push kick but McIllhenny slaps the foot to one side.

McIllhenny might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Barra tries to clinch but McIllhenny is having none of it.

McIllhenny throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Barra looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? McIllhenny is fending him off so far but Barra persists. Nope, McIllhenny circles away and we're back to standing.

Barra misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

McIllhenny connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Barra's hands.
McIllhenny stuns Barra with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

McIllhenny keeps the fight on the outside.
McIllhenny cracks Barra with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Barra tries to score a power double leg takedown but McIllhenny sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Barra somewhat.

McIllhenny has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Barra is trying to keep an underhook but McIllhenny manages to get the takedown into half guard.
McIllhenny seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Barra does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
McIllhenny not landing any meaningful shots this time.

McIllhenny seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Barra is in trouble now - McIllhenny has advanced to mount!
McIllhenny is landing with some decent strikes but Barra is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, McIllhenny cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Fink McIllhenny showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Barra's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Barra shoots for a double leg takedown but McIllhenny sprawls well. He's pushed Barra's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

McIllhenny lands with an uppercut that bounces Barra off the cage and back into range.
Barra tries to close the distance and clinch up but McIllhenny swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Barra fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

McIllhenny has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Barra closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Oh Barra is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
McIllhenny throws a hook but Barra avoids it easily.
McIllhenny feints with a left and delivers a massive head kick! Barra collapses like a ragdoll! Game over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:30 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Fink McIllhenny!
In his post fight interview, Fink McIllhenny started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
