PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chaka Mababa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrei Katchenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mababa comes into the arena with Street Fighting Man blaring out of the sound system. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Viktor Lagutenko and Aleksandr Martynov.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mababa throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Mababa is looking to score with low kicks.
Mababa takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Katchenko fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Mababa fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Mababa walks into a left hand.
Katchenko lands with a shot to the body.
Mababa has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Katchenko finds it's way round the side to connect with Mababa's head.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
The fighters circling - Mababa throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Katchenko needs to keep his hands up - Mababa had a free shot at his head there.
Katchenko moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Katchenko scores with a sloppy right hand. Mababa should have avoided that one.
Mababa fails to land with a series of punches.
Mababa misses with a lunging right hand
and Mababa takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

A relieved looking Andrei Katchenko thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
