Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mark Hunt!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bobby Lashley!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hunt tries to score a power double leg takedown but Lashley sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Hunt somewhat.
Lashley displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Hunt.
Hunt misses with a takedown attempt - Lashley sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mark Hunt. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Lashley throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Hunt tries to close the distance and clinch up but Lashley swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Hunt tries for a takedown but Lashley sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Lashley closes the distance and pushes Hunt back into the cage.
Hunt is trying to drag Lashley to the mat but Lashley just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Lashley pulls guard successfully.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Hunt throws a strike but Lashley rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lashley wants to control from the top but Hunt keeps moving.

Hunt keeping full guard, as Lashley tries to pass.
Hunt keeping moving, preventing Lashley from controlling successfully.
Hunt is looking to stand up but Lashley isn't so interested in that idea.
Hunt is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Hunt is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Lashley shoots in and bounces Hunt off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Hunt keeping moving, preventing Lashley from controlling successfully.

Hunt looking for a sweep. Not yet Hunt, not yet.
Hunt controls Lashley momentarily but Lashley frees himself.
Lashley throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Hunt works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Hunt is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Lashley trying to control the position from guard on top but Hunt is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Lashley fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Lashley tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Hunt paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Lashley shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lashley throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Hunt wants to get back to full guard.
Hunt trying to control from the bottom.

Lashley is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Hunt desperately trying to maintain half guard.
Lashley is trying to control the action in half guard but Hunt is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Hunt holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Lashley missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Lashley slips a nice elbow through Hunt's hands, connecting with Hunt's forehead.
Hunt is trying to get back to full guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Hunt is refusing to be controlled, as Lashley sits in half guard.
Hunt trying to hold on to Lashley's head to control him but Lashley postures up.
Lashley is trying to control. Hunt wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Lashley looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Lashley throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Lashley works his way into side control.
Lashley scores with punches from side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.



The fight moves into the clinch position.
Hunt tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Lashley smiles and moves away.

Lashley closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Hunt quickly recovers to half guard.
Hunt moves into full guard.
Lashley stays in close to Hunt's body and controls the position.
Hunt looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Lashley puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Lashley trying to mount his opponent but Hunt defends it.
Lashley lands strikes from half guard.

Lashley is trying to work for a kimura but Hunt is defending well.
Hunt tries to roll over but Lashley keeps him under control.
Lashley drops an elbow to the side of Hunt's head.
Hunt wants to get back to his feet.
Hunt tries to get to full guard but Lashley has control of the leg.
Bobby Lashley has got the better of the ground game so far.

Lashley looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Hunt on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.

Hunt tries to kick Lashley off but Lashley keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Lashley is trying to control the action in half guard but Hunt is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Mark Hunt is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Lashley drops Hunt with a beautiful combination! Hunt stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Lashley is looking for the KO!

It looks like Mark Hunt has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Lashley closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Hunt's guard.
Oh Hunt is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Lashley is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Hunt working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Lashley.
Lashley stays in close to Hunt's body and controls the position.
Hunt seems to have got his legs back now.
Lashley's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Lashley gets the takedown into side control.
Lashley creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Hunt might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Lashley lands an elbow.

Hunt tries to kick Lashley off in order to stand up. Lashley Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.

Hunt wants to get back to his feet but Lashley drags him back down.
Hunt is not content to let Lashley control the position.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Lashley is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Hunt has escaped the position, nice work there.
Hunt manages to work his way to half guard, despite Lashley's best efforts.
Lashley is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Lashley tries to pass to full mount but Hunt defends it.
Hunt tries to get to full guard but Lashley has control of the leg.

Lashley working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Lashley is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Hunt is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Lashley scores with a couple of nice shots.
Lashley wants to pass to mount but Hunt is defending the position.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Lashley is keen to just control but Hunt is a slippery customer.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Lashley connects with a nice short shot to Hunt's temple.
Well, if Lashley is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Hunt wants to control but Lashley is keeping busy.

Hunt is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.
Lashley wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hunt keeps working.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Hunt lands with an uppercut that bounces Lashley off the cage and back into range.
Hunt tries to clinch there but Lashley circles away.
Hunt shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Lashley feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Lashley postures up and lands a big shot to Hunt's brow.

Hunt pulls Lashley in close to his closed guard and prevents Lashley from doing any damage or advancing position.

Mark Hunt has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Bobby Lashley is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Well Lashley has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
