Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jake Jenkins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Andy Alliteration!
The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Micheangelo Fripello and Colin Fray.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alliteration throws a combination that misses
and Jenkins counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Alliteration's guard now.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Jenkins stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Alliteration swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Alliteration working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Jenkins doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Jenkins manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Alliteration is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Alliteration has a closed guard, preventing Jenkins from standing up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jenkins wants to control from the top but Alliteration keeps moving.
Alliteration escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Jenkins gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Alliteration looking for a guillotine here but Jenkins defends easily.
Alliteration is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Jenkins frees his head nicely. Oh but Alliteration has switched to an armbar! Jenkins is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
