The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
SamSung ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Nowak moves away.
SamSung fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
SamSung swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Nowak clinches with his opponent.
SamSung has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
SamSung looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Nowak lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Nowak is looking to advance position but SamSung won't allow it.
Nowak passes to full mount!
Nowak controlling the pace for now.
The referee warns SamSung that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Nowak working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. SamSung turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Nowak off and cradles SamSung's limp body as Nowak celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Mateusz Nowak!
