Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Maximus Meridius (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Edwards (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Maximus Meridius is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Wesley Smith and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Meridius throws a head kick that misses.
Meridius cracks a nice hook into Edwards's ribs.
Meridius scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Edwards doesn't seem bothered though.
Meridius looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Edwards bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Meridius tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Edwards wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Edwards scores with a couple of short elbows.
Meridius is trying to get back to half guard.
Meridius is working hard here to advance position.
Edwards is looking to take a break and control but Meridius is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Edwards looks up at the clock and then as Meridius takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Edwards smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Meridius wants to get back to his feet.
Meridius is looking to reverse the position.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Edwards checks the leg kick nicely there.
Edwards closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Meridius is trying to control Edwards's posture but Edwards avoids it.
Meridius is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Edwards advances nicely into full mount.
Edwards can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Meridius is looking to escape.
Meridius manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Edwards is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

Edwards is nestled in close to Meridius, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Meridius is not content to let Edwards control the position.

Edwards seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Edwards pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Meridius tries to reverse the position but Edwards maintains control.
Edwards working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Meridius turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Edwards off and cradles Meridius's limp body as Edwards celebrates with his corner.
