Cane comes to the cage accompanied by Rob Zombie - What. Callahan has chosen Everybody Wants To Rule The World as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 25 - 15 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Quentin Cane!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Thomas Callahan!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and .




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cane shoots in for a takedown but Callahan shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Cane shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Callahan defends it nicely.
A telegraphed right hand from Callahan misses the target.
Callahan stuffs the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Quentin Cane. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Cane shoots in looking for a takedown. Callahan tries to sprawl out of it but Cane keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Callahan manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Cane shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Callahan as he jumps to the side.
Cane circles away from the clinch attempt.
Callahan stuffs the takedown attempt from Cane. Cane gets slowly back to his feet.
Cane tries for a takedown but Callahan circles away easily
and Callahan counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Nice takedown defense from Callahan. No joy for Cane on that attempt.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Callahan waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Cane.
Horrible takedown by Callahan or perhaps it was just good defense by Cane which made him look bad.
Callahan cracks Cane with a good jab.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Cane.
Callahan lands a head shot.

Callahan lands a big head kick that sends Cane tumbling to the mat! Callahan takes a step backwards and waves Cane back to his feet - he wants the finish!


Cane is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Cane doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Callahan counters with a right hand to the body.
Oh Cane is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Cane is breathing heavily.
Cane drops his hands for a split second and Callahan immediately capitalizes on the opportunity by smashing a powerful hook into Cane face, sending his mouthguard sailing through the air, much to the delight of the crowd. Callahan follows up with a right hand that knocks Cane into next week. He's out cold and this fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Thomas Callahan!
Our winner, Thomas Callahan, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
