The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mindzatti is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Porunov's half guard.
Porunov wants to control but Mindzatti is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Porunov is looking for a sweep. Mindzatti is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Mindzatti tries to stand but Porunov is controlling from the bottom.

Mindzatti is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Porunov is controlling him well.
An elbow from Porunov crashes against the mat.
Mindzatti gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

Porunov can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Mindzatti is looking to escape.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Porunov closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Mindzatti's guard.
Porunov wants to control from the top but Mindzatti keeps moving.

Mindzatti is looking to sinch up a triangle. Porunov throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Mindzatti's body to avoid the submission. Mindzatti has instead reached around Porunov's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Mindzatti arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
