Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Simon Garfunkle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ron McDanzing (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Garfunkle comes to the cage accompanied by Kamikaze Kush- Very Next Day. Ron McDanzing told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McDanzing has his takedown stuffed
and Garfunkle counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Garfunkle.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Garfunkle postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Garfunkle accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
McDanzing working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Garfunkle doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Garfunkle manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

McDanzing misses with a takedown
and Garfunkle counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in McDanzing's guard now.
McDanzing can't keep his opponent in guard - Garfunkle advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Garfunkle is looking for a kimura but McDanzing is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Garfunkle to get the leverage.
Garfunkle is pressing down on McDanzing's thigh, looking to free his foot. McDanzing is holding on for now.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
McDanzing is looking to escape.
McDanzing tries to roll over but Garfunkle keeps him under control.
McDanzing is controlling Garfunkle's trapped leg to prevent Garfunkle from advancing to side control.
