The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Solomon misses with a jab, cross combination.
Dones looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Solomon lands a nice hook to Dones's body. Dones takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Solomon throws a head kick that half lands.
Iurie Solomon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Solomon throws a series of punches but Dones moves out of range.
Oooooh!!! Solomon has knocked Dones down with a huge combo! Solomon steps away and waves a wobbly Dones back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Dones is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Solomon throws a right and a left that Dones avoids nicely.
Dones is still on wobbly legs! Can Solomon finish him?
Dones drops his hands momentarily. Solomon doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Dones staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Dones doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.
