The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Yukihiro Shimada and Hirohito Nitta.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Santoro scores a takedown into full mount!
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Santoro tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Okamoto really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Santoro. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Santoro postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Okamoto looks a forlorn figure.
Okamoto is in all sorts of trouble here.
Santoro tries to control but Okamoto wriggling away.
Santoro lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Okamoto tries to hold on but Santoro pushes him away.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Okamoto is trying desperately to improve position.

Santoro wants to control the pace but Okamoto is squirming around nicely.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Okamoto can do anything to dispel that myth.

Okamoto is bucking up trying to escape but Santoro cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Okamoto is desperately trying to improve his position but Santoro has a good base and remains in mount.

Santoro has control of Okamoto's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Okamoto regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Santoro drops a big elbow. That's hurt Okamoto! More shots from Santoro and the ref steps in! The fight is over!
