Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Zach Kennific (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kamil Walus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Zach Kennific!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kamil Walus!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Walus.
Kennific swings for the body but Walus moves out of range.
Kennific looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Walus shoots in but Kennific avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Kennific tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Walus swivels and escapes.

Kennific closes the distance and clinches.
Kennific prevents a takedown attempt there.

Nice straight punches there by Walus. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Walus.
Horrible takedown by Walus or perhaps it was just good defense by Kennific which made him look bad.

Walus defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Kennific.
Walus avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Walus lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Kamil Walus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Kennific shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Walus pinned against the cage. Walus gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Kennific is trying to maintain a safe position but Walus gets an underhook and turns Kennific into the cage.

Walus manages to break the clinch.
Walus shoots for a takedown but Kennific saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Walus shoots in looking for a takedown. Kennific tries to sprawl out of it but Walus keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kennific manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Walus tries to clinch there but Kennific circles away.

Walus has Kennific pressed against the cage, preventing Kennific from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Kennific is trying to push Walus away but Walus has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Kennific tries to stall but Walus uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

and Kennific cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
The fight stays on the outside here - Kennific looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Kennific stops Walus from standing up.
Kennific stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Walus swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Kennific has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Walus pushes Kennific off and scrambles back to his feet.
Kennific closes the distance and clinches up with Walus, looking for a takedown. Kennific pushes Walus against the cage but Walus circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Walus doesn't manage to clinch there - Kennific circles away.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Walus drops down looking for an ankle pick but Kennific pulls his leg out and moves away.

The fight stays on the outside here - Walus looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Kennific throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

A cross from Walus lands.
Kennific tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Walus manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Kennific slips a jab and a cross from Walus.

Walus throws an elbow but it misses.
A bit of stalling here from Kennific.
Kennific lands a right hand that snaps the head of Walus backwards.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Walus doesn't manage to clinch there - Kennific circles away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kamil Walus showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Walus misses with a takedown attempt - Kennific sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Kennific drives through and clinches with Walus against the cage.
Walus tries to throw a body punch but Kennific avoids it by throwing Walus back against the cage.
Kennific tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Walus just stands there and leans against the cage.
Kennific wants a takedown but no success here.

Kennific tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Walus smiles and moves away.

Walus pushes off an throws an elbow but Kennific leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

Kennific manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Walus must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kennific wants to control but Walus is keeping busy.
Walus trying to control the action but Kennific is working from the bottom.
Walus prevents Kennific from standing back up.
Walus is trying to control. Kennific wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Kennific tries to roll over but Walus keeps him under control.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Kennific fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Walus, pushing him back against the cage.

Kennific tries to circle away but Walus has him pinned against the cage.
Walus has had enough of the clinch but Kennific keeps him there for the moment.
Kamil Walus is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Kennific wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Walus trying to control the position but instead, Kennific has worked for underhooks and has pushed Walus into the cage.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Zach Kennific.
Well Walus has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
