Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Grand Matador!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Henriki St Street!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Kenichi Hosakawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Matador scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from St Street.
Matador feints and then cracks St Street's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow St Street down.
St Street has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Matador.
Matador throws a head kick but St Street moves out of range.
St Street jabs Matador to the body, keeping him at a distance.
St Street avoids the head kick by Matador.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Matador.
Matador lands a nice looking body kick.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Matador connects with a leg kick. St Street looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
St Street ducks right into an uppercut from Matador.
Matador feints and then cracks St Street's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow St Street down.
St Street looks gassed!
A slapping body kick lands there for Matador.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! St Street crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Matador - the referee stops the clock and St Street gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Matador. St Street manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Matador smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

Matador clinches up with St Street and pushes him back against the cage.
Matador taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
Matador scores with an uppercut up the middle.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Matador breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Matador with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Matador fails with an attempt to clinch.
Matador lands with a shot to the body.
Matador digs a good body shot into St Street's ribs.
Matador moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.


It looks like Henriki St Street has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
St Street takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Matador lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.


St Street is rocked!
Matador lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

Matador waves his right hand out in front of him, looking to distract St Street. Oh, he's unloaded a beast of a left hand - it worked! He's dropped St Street to the canvas! Can he finish him!?
St Street is still in real trouble! Can Matador finish him?
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Matador controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Matador sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed St Street's guard.
St Street seems to have recovered his senses.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Matador not doing much here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Matador's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Grand Matador just wasn't active enough.
St Street misses with an attempted mid kick.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Matador lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
St Street takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
St Street tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Grand Matador dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Henriki St Street's cut.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!



Matador throws a head kick that lands with a deafening thwack! The crowd roars as St Street stumbles backwards and falls to the mat. Matador follows into mount!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Matador controlling the pace for now.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if St Street can do anything to dispel that myth.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Grand Matador.
Matador throws a body kick that misses.
A decent looking cross lands there for Matador.

Matador waves his right hand out in front of him, looking to distract St Street. Oh, he's unloaded a beast of a left hand - it worked! He's dropped St Street to the canvas! Can he finish him!?
This has been an exciting period of action!
Matador trying to control but St Street is working from the bottom.
St Street keeping full guard, as Matador tries to pass.
Matador slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
St Street pulls Matador in close to prevent any damage.
Matador is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that St Street can do to turn this around?

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Matador stopping the sweep attempt from St Street.

Grand Matador has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
St Street throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
St Street misses with a wild body shot.
Matador fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt St Street.
St Street is breathing heavily.
Matador fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Matador cracks the inside of St Street's front leg.
Matador and St Street are patiently standing in front of each other looking for an opening. Matador throws a head kick. It's landed, knocking St Street into next week! Ooooh that was huge! Matador knows it - he's on the cage flexing is biceps. That's a bit weird considering he won by kick but whatever.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Grand Matador!
An out of breath Grand Matador thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
