He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. The key to victory for Grant Fortune has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

No joy there for Gutz, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Fortune drives through with a takedown into guard.

Fortune is really struggling to control Gutz but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Fortune keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Gutz's head.
Gutz trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.

Fortune working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Gutz's head.
Fortune stopping the sweep attempt from Gutz.
Fortune has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Fortune postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Gutz can do anything to dispel that myth.

Gutz wants to hit a switch here but Fortune passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Gutz there!

Fortune lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Fortune lands a big shot there that rocks Gutz but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Fortune pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Fortune cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Gutz really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Gutz takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Fortune's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
