The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bed moves into range and connects with a jab.
Vanderbeet looks to throw the jab but Bed is out of range.
Vanderbeet keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Bed.
Vanderbeet takes one to the side of the head.
Bed thows a left - swing and a miss!

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Vanderbeet.
Bed lands with a cross.
Bed loads up on a big right hand but Vanderbeet slips the punch.
Bed lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Bed keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Bed lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Vanderbeet circles away quickly and effectively.

Vanderbeet shoots in looking for a takedown. Bed tries to sprawl out of it but Vanderbeet keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Bed manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Good Bed has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Horacio Vanderbeet.

Bed is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Vanderbeet.

Vanderbeet changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Bed looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
