Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Konrad Kurze (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ray Mond (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Mond as Kurze shoots in.
A shot to the liver by Kurze. Beautiful body shot.
Kurze throws a body punch but Mond moves out of range.
Both fighters circling a little - Mond finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Kurze throws a jab but it's blocked by Mond.
Mond pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Kurze throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Mond throws a leg kick but Kurze checks it.
Good leg kick by Mond there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Kurze fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Mond manages to avoid it.
Mond tries to close the distance and clinch but Kurze swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Kurze shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Kurze is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Mond is looking to escape.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Kurze jumps guard and drags Mond to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Mond stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kurze swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Mond wants to control from the top but Kurze keeps moving.

Mond stands up and waves to Kurze to follow him.
It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Kurze here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.
Kurze throws an overhand right that lands on Mond's shoulder, as Mond tries to avoid the shot.
Mond takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Mond fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Kurze.

Mond takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Kurze throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Mond tries to land a leg kick but Kurze saw it coming and moves away.
Kurze tried to score with a low kick but Mond checks it.
Mond connects with a good right hand that stumbles Kurze. Kurze circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Kurze slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Kurze misses with a hook. Mond ducked under it nicely.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Mond is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
