Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Eric Brooks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ken Danagger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brooks comes into the arena with ZAO - the psalm of the city of the dead. blaring out of the sound system. The crowd seem to be enjoying Danagger's choice of entrance music: Richard Halley - 5th Concerto. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Ken Danagger was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Eric Brooks!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ken Danagger!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Cecil Peabody and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brooks slaps away a takedown attempt from Danagger, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Brooks tries to work over Danagger's front leg with a kick but Danagger checks it.
Brooks cracks the inside of Danagger's front leg.
Brooks drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Brooks trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Danagger manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Brooks manages to get himself to full guard.
Danagger really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Brooks. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Danagger with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Danagger with a flurry of punches that miss.
Danagger makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Danagger throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Brooks works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Danagger accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Danagger trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Danagger lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Danagger scoring with some ground and pound.
Danagger throwing strikes but missing.
Danagger stands over his opponent and dives in with a flying punch! Brooks throws up his legs and catches Danagger in a triangle! Oh this looks tight! Danagger tries to escape but he's forced to tap! Wow, fantastic work there by Brooks! That came out of nowhere!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Eric Brooks!
After winning the bout, Eric Brooks thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
