Johnson tries to close the distance and clinch but Adams swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Adams looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Johnson thuds a left hand into Adams's body.
Johnson scores with a sloppy right hand. Adams should have avoided that one.

Johnson throws a right and a left that both miss.
Adams pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Johnson back to the cage. Adams follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

It looks like Josh Johnson has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Adams shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Johnson manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Johnson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Adams gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

You get the feeling that Johnson really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Adams loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Johnson scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Adams land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Adams stands and salutes the crowd.
