Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Loko Soldati (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vanapa Animai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vanapa Animai told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, William Peck and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Animai looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Soldati is trying to stand up here but Animai is controlling him well.
Soldati knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Animai on the ground.
Animai working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Animai looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Animai prevents Soldati from standing back up.
Animai postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Soldati to stand up.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Animai is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Soldati knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Soldati is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Animai has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Animai wants to lay and pray for a moment but Soldati keeps working.
Soldati might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Animai goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Soldati has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Animai but great work by Soldati.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Soldati could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Animai escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Soldati gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Soldati wants to pass the guard but Animai is keeping the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Soldati throws a series of punches but Animai moves out of range.
Soldati pushes Animai up against the cage in a clinch.
Soldati is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Animai is defending well for now.
Soldati gets control of Animai's arms and successfully pulls guard. Soldati will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Animai has gone for a leg lock! Soldati slips out almost immediately though and dives into Animai's guard.
Animai escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Soldati gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Animai has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Soldati should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Animai has tightened it up now! Soldati should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
