Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kuroda Atsushi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sergei Cosixen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sloppy strikes from Cosixen. Those never looked like landing.

A close round but Sergei Cosixen will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Atsushi throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Cosixen tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Atsushi is in Cosixen's guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Cosixen blocks the body kick.
Atsushi fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Cosixen looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Atsushi shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Cosixen napping and manages to drive through into side control!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Atsushi throws a strike aimed at the side of Cosixen's head but Cosixen avoids it well.
Atsushi has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
