Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between James Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leroy Miller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Leroy Miller!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Kenichi Hosakawa and Yukihiro Yamamoto.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.


It looks like Leroy Miller has been cut.
Miller misses with a takedown

and Jones counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Miller is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Jones wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Miller is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Jones is keeping busy.

Miller is trying to drag Jones to the mat but Jones just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Jones can't break the clinch.
Jones tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Miller smiles and moves away.

Jones moves in looking to clinch but Miller pushes him off.
Jones lands with a shot to the body.
Miller misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
James Jones has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Leroy Miller.

Jones shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Miller's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jones content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Jones is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Miller!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Jones seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Miller for as long as he can get away with.

Miller fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Jones avoids it really well and circles away.

Jones throws a right hand that Miller ducks under and follows up with a left that Miller also avoids with ease.
Jones has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Miller.
Jones tries to clinch up but Miller circles away and keeps his distance.
Jones slaps away a takedown attempt from Miller, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Jones moves out of range as Miller throws a body kick.
Miller is breathing heavily.
Jones lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

Jones shoots in for a takedown but Miller shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Jones.
James Jones is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Miller fails with an attempt to clinch.
Jones stuffs the takedown attempt from Miller. Miller gets slowly back to his feet.
James Jones has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Leroy Miller.

Jones throws a leg kick but Miller moved away.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Jones.
Miller really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jones. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Jones lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Miller down.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Jones darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Jones connects with a nice short shot to Miller's temple.

Miller wants to control but Jones is keeping busy and won't allow it.

James Jones overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Jones cracks Miller with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Jones fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Miller wants to hold on but Jones pushes him away.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Jones cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

A big right followed by a crushing left from Jones knocks Miller out cold! Ouch - that one's going to be featured in highlight reels for years to come!
