Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Albert Achterberg and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saruwatari thuds his right hand into Rexum's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Saruwatari smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Rexum throws a solid leg kick but Saruwatari takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Rexum.
Saruwatari misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Rexum stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Saruwatari.
Rexum swats away the attempt to clinch by Saruwatari.
Rexum does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Saruwatari connects with a high kick.
Kaito Saruwatari seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Rexum tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Saruwatari was well out of range. Poor timing from Rexum.
The fighters circle momentarily. Saruwatari darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Saruwatari bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Rexum's head backwards.

Saruwatari throws a hook but Rexum avoids it easily.

Saruwatari avoids a punch combination nicely.
Saruwatari thumps Rexum with a low kick.
Rexum gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Saruwatari stuns Rexum with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Rexum gets the takedown into side control.
Saruwatari wants to control but Rexum postures up.

Saruwatari is looking for a sweep. Rexum is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Saruwatari is pressing down on Rexum's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Saruwatari is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Kaito Saruwatari wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Rexum shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Saruwatari pinned against the cage. Saruwatari gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Rexum slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kaito Saruwatari dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Rexum tries for a takedown but Saruwatari sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Saruwatari bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Rexum's head backwards.
Saruwatari misses with a low kick.
Rexum throws a big shot that misses.
Saruwatari swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Saruwatari scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Rexum looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Saruwatari throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Rexum's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Saruwatari connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Rexum scrambles back to his feet.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Rexum throws a low kick, looking for Saruwatari's leg but Saruwatari calmly moves out of range.
Saruwatari lands with a thumping leg kick.

Saruwatari throws a monster overhand right that drops Rexum! Saruwatari follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!

A relieved looking Kaito Saruwatari thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
