Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Christoper Midura!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Thiago Cunha and Alexandre Firmino.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rogers scores with a one two! Midura had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Midura shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Rogers pinned against the cage. Rogers gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Christoper Midura seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rogers staying out of range there.
Midura moves out of range of the strikes.
Rogers throws a good cross that connects.
Rogers lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Midura works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Rogers throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Midura.
Rogers fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Rogers lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Rogers clobbers Midura with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Rogers cracks Midura with a right hand to the side of the head.

Midura takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Midura throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Rogers sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Rogers uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Midura.
Midura takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Midura takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Rogers is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Rogers throws a lazy right hand but Midura sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Midura lands with an uppercut that bounces Rogers off the cage and back into rage.

A decent looking cross lands there for Rogers.
Midura looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

Rogers is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
BOOM! Rogers lands a beautiful left hook that drops Midura. Midura tries to recover but Rogers is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Midura lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
