Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Sam Margolis and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jacobs throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Verchanko's waist but Verchanko gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jacobs off to one side.
Jacobs takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Jacobs misses with a takedown
and Verchanko counters by moving into the clinch.
Jacobs has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Verchanko after a bit of a struggle.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Matthew Jacobs. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Verchanko lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Jacobs drops down looking for an ankle pick but Verchanko pulls his leg out and moves away.
Verchanko rushes Jacobs and presses him up against the cage.
Jacobs is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Verchanko pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Verchanko lands a left hand that snaps the head of Jacobs backwards.

Verchanko escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Jacobs shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Verchanko but Verchanko pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Jacobs seems to have got his legs back now.

Verchanko has taken the fight to the clinch.

Verchanko digs a right hand underneath Jacobs's ribcage. Jacobs let out a lung full of air as it connected.

Jacobs is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Verchanko gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Jacobs really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Verchanko pushes Jacobs against the cage. Verchanko is working some dirty boxing. Verchanko pushes off with a quick right hook! Jacobs goes down! Jacobs tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Verchanko moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!
