Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Adam Hinkley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeremy Striker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jeremy Striker is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Adam Hinkley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jeremy Striker!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Robert Twigg and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Striker looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Striker is keen to just control but Hinkley is a slippery customer.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hinkley is looking to escape.
Hinkley trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

Striker is looking for a kimura but Hinkley is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Striker to get the leverage.
Striker wants to stand but Hinkley has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Striker is trying to control. Hinkley wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Striker stops Hinkley from getting back to his feet.
Striker is trying to control the action in half guard but Hinkley is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Hinkley is trying to escape back to his feet but Striker uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Striker wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hinkley keeps working.
Hinkley is looking to get back to his feet here but Striker is keeping cool and he's managed to take Hinkley's back.
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Striker's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.

Hinkley is looking to stand back up. He's having to work hard to escape but eventually he manages it.

Hinkley stops Striker from standing up.

Hinkley gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Hinkley throws a right hand that Striker ducks under and follows up with a left that Striker also avoids with ease.
Hinkley swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Striker decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Hinkley's guard.
Hinkley is breathing heavily.
Striker wants to control from the top but Hinkley keeps moving.

Striker stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Striker tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Hinkley paws at him with a jab and circles away.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Hinkley lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Striker circles away quickly and effectively.
Striker looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Hinkley stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Hinkley wants it to stay on the feet.

Striker drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Striker jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Hinkley on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Hinkley tries to get out of the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jeremy Striker dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Striker misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Adam Hinkley seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Striker counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Hinkley wants to stand back up but Striker manages to pass into side control.
Hinkley takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Striker wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hinkley keeps working.
Hinkley throws a couple of strikes even though he's not really in a good position to do so.

Striker stands up and we're back to a striking position.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Striker darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Striker in particular looking to stall.

Hinkley pushes Striker off looking to stand but Striker dives back in and keeps control.
Striker wants to take a breather but Hinkley is having none of it.

Hinkley makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Hinkley lands with a slapping head kick.
Horrible takedown by Striker or perhaps it was just good defense by Hinkley which made him look bad.

Striker shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Hinkley but Hinkley pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Hinkley stalks Striker and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Striker's face. Striker staggers backwards, shaken.

Hinkley takes a body punch but keeps moving.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Hinkley swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Hinkley lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

Striker swats away the attempt to clinch by Hinkley.

Hinkley shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Hinkley was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

The referee warns Striker that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Striker throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Hinkley's waist but Hinkley gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Striker off to one side.
No joy there for Striker, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Hinkley throws a series of strikes that have Striker backpedaling.
Striker changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Hinkley tries to avoid it but Striker manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Hinkley to the ground. Hinkley escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Hinkley feints a jab promting Striker to slip. Hinkley then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Striker slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Striker darts in and clinches Hinkley up against the cage.
Striker is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Hinkley pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Hinkley has hold of one of Striker's legs. Striker is fighting the takedown attempt but Hinkley gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Striker is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Hinkley decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Striker, up you get!
Striker wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Hinkley throws a left and a right that both miss
and Striker counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Hinkley is looking to clinch.
Hinkley stuffs the takedown attempt from Striker. Striker gets slowly back to his feet.
Striker takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Hinkley tries to close the distance and clinch but Striker swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Hinkley will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Striker looks for a takedown but Hinkley sprawls well.
Striker lands a body shot.
Hinkley misses with a few strikes there.
Striker shoots in and drives through. Hinkley sprawls well.
Hinkley misses with the combination.
No joy there for Hinkley, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Striker.
Hinkley tries to bum rush Striker with a series of wild strikes but Striker uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Striker shoots for a takedown but Hinkley saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

And that's the end of the fight!
Adam Hinkley showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Hinkley has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
