Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Lou Miller!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Pablo Cabrera!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Steve Smith and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Miller shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Cabrera defends it nicely.
Cabrera throws a sloppy head kick and Miller moves out of range easily.
Nice cross by Cabrera.

Miller throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Cabrera tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Miller is in Cabrera's guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Miller pushing down on Cabrera's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Miller lands with a punch from half guard.
Cabrera is looking to escape.
Miller trying to control the action but Cabrera is working from the bottom.
Cabrera on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Cabrera is trying to stand.
Miller perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Cabrera keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Cabrera really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Miller. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

We're going to have a standup here because Lou Miller wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Miller moves into range and clinches up with Cabrera.

Miller manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Miller has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Cabrera can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Cabrera wants to get up but he can't break Miller's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Miller working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Cabrera doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Cabrera manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Cabrera wants to stand and escape but instead Miller has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Miller throws a big elbow that misses.

Miller drops back looking for a leg! Cabrera is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Cabrera manages to kick Miller off! Miller jumps back into Cabrera's guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Miller accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Miller wants to control from the top but Cabrera keeps moving.

Miller stands and steps away. Cabrera gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Miller.
Miller prevents Cabrera from escaping the position.
Miller is breathing heavily.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Miller decides to stand back up. Miller steps back and let's Cabrera get back to his feet.
Pablo Cabrera seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cabrera bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Cabrera lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Pablo Cabrera is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Cabrera seems to be stalking Miller here. He circles momentarily and then unleashes a devastatic head kick! Miller drops like a stone, out cold! WOW! Are you kidding me!? What a knockout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Pablo Cabrera!
