The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peppertooth clinches with his opponent.
Ion has had enough of the clinch but Peppertooth keeps him there for the moment.

Ion tries for a takedown but Peppertooth circles away easily
and Peppertooth counters with a shoot takedown. Ion fights it but they end up in guard.

Ion has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Peppertooth can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Peppertooth stands and steps away. Ion gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

and Ion counters with a three punch combo that has Peppertooth backing up. Peppertooth nods at Ion to acknowledge the strikes.
Ion has his takedown stuffed
and Peppertooth holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Peppertooth lands a hook that snaps the head of Ion backwards.
Peppertooth crunches a lovely knee into Ion's ribcage.
A nice right hand lands inside from Ion.
Peppertooth blocks an elbow strike.
Ion is looking to break free of the clinch but Peppertooth has double underhooks.
Ion tries to score a body lock takedown but Peppertooth shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Peppertooth throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Ion blocks it with crossed arms.
Ion has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Peppertooth is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Ion has had enough of the clinch but Peppertooth keeps him there for the moment.

Peppertooth is trying to maintain a safe position but Ion gets an underhook and turns Peppertooth into the cage.

and Peppertooth counters with a right hand to the body.

Ion wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Peppertooth has him pressed against the cage.

Peppertooth rushes Ion and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Ion shoots for a takedown but Peppertooth saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
