The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Haley throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Burrows tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Haley is in Burrows's guard.
Burrows is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Haley tries to free his leg and advance position but Burrows is retaining full guard.
Burrows knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Haley on the ground.
Haley forces his way into half guard.
Haley in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Burrows tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Haley!
