Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Murilo shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Beaver as he avoids it easily.
Murilo lands with a nice combination. Beaver backs away looking to recover.

Murilo shoots in but Beaver avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Matthew Beaver has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Vinicius Murilo.

Beaver has managed to clinch.
Murilo is trying to drag Beaver to the mat but Beaver just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Beaver closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Murilo's guard.

Beaver is nestled in close to Murilo, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Beaver works his foot free and advances to mount.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Beaver throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Murilo tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Beaver is in Murilo's guard.

Matthew Beaver overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Beaver remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Beaver is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Murilo is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
