Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Atli Thor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rich Omega (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Omega counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Thor avoids a kick to the body.
Thor connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
It looks like Rich Omega has been cut.
Omega slips a straight right by Thor.
Omega takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Thor is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Omega.
Thor ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Omega moves away.

Thor throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Atli Thor is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Omega tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Thor is able to avoid easily.
Thor throws a hook but Omega avoids it easily.

Thor lands with an uppercut that bounces Omega off the cage and back into range.

and Thor counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Omega misses with a wild combination.
Thor throws a hook but Omega avoids it easily.
Thor lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Omega circles away quickly and effectively.
Omega slips under a jab.
Omega ducks right into an uppercut from Thor.

Thor throws a shot from downtown. Omega moves away and avoids it.
Atli Thor seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Thor connects with a good right hand that stumbles Omega. Omega circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Omega throws a head kick but Thor moves out of range.

Omega throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

The fighters circling - Thor throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

and Omega makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.

and Omega counters with a nice kick to the body.
Thor throws a right and a left that both miss.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Thor stuns Omega with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

and Omega counters with a solid body kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Atli Thor dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Rich Omega's cut.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

That has opened up Rich Omega's cut even more.

Omega pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Omega might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Thor has got the better of the exchanges.

Thor really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

and Thor cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Thor is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.

Thor lands with a right hand.
Rich Omega's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Rich Omega's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
