Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dustin Heloise (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kenrick Nikil (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Heloise kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Iron Maiden - Fear of the Dark . Nikil is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Wait and Bleed by Slipknot. Kenrick Nikil told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

8 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kenrick Nikil!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Alec Ball and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nikil forces Heloise back against the cage and clinches.
Heloise has a couple of punches blocked by Nikil.
Heloise can't find room to land a body shot as Nikil controls the action.
Heloise blocks a body shot from Nikil.
Nikil turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Heloise tries to buck Nikil off but Nikil is having none of it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Heloise is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Nikil is controlling him well.
Nikil postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
You can see the frustration on Heloise's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Nikil looks up at the clock and then as Heloise takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Nikil smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Heloise bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!
Heloise fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Nikil is out of range.
Heloise lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Nikil circles away quickly and effectively.
Heloise has closed the distance and engaged Nikil in a clinch.

Nikil turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Nikil manages to end up in side control.
Nikil scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Heloise to see if he's OK.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Heloise dodges the ground and pound from Nikil.
Nikil throws an elbow but Heloise slips to the side and avoids it well.
Heloise is trying to improve his position.

Heloise avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Nikil.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Nikil tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Nikil in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.

Nikil is working for a guillotine from mount but Heloise frees his head quite easily.

Nikil lands a big shot there that rocks Heloise but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Nikil is in full mount looking to finish with strikes. He lands a big shot, followed by another and Heloise goes limp! The ref jumps in to end the fight - a big win for Nikil!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Kenrick Nikil!
After winning the bout, Kenrick Nikil thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
