Rendziok comes to the cage accompanied by Do góry łeb!. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Arek Rendziok!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Shawn Geissen!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Donald Grub and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Geissen connects with a body shot that sends Rendziok's belly button to the back.
Rendziok ducks under a wild hook from Geissen.
Rendziok looks for a takedown but Geissen sprawls well.
Geissen throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Rendziok looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Arek Rendziok. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Geissen throws a jab when Rendziok was well out of range.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Geissen throws the left hand but Rendziok avoids the punch easily.
Rendziok closes this distance looking for a takedown but Geissen circles away.
Rendziok shoots in looking for a takedown but Geissen manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Rendziok's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

and Rendziok counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Rendziok.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Rendziok throws a big elbow that misses.
Rendziok connects with a couple of short punches.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Geissen keeping moving, preventing Rendziok from controlling successfully.
Rendziok wants to pass the guard but Geissen is keeping the position.

Geissen manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Rendziok manages to get himself to full guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Geissen misses the jab.
Rendziok fails with a takedown attempt.

Geissen gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Geissen looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Arek Rendziok dominated that round.
That's time! Rendziok's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Geissen throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Rendziok fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Rendziok looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Geissen is fending him off so far but Rendziok persists. Nope, Geissen circles away and we're back to standing.
Rendziok throws a poor cross that misses
and Geissen counters with an outside leg kick.
Rendziok gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Rendziok keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Rendziok is defended easily by Geissen.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Arek Rendziok. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Geissen scores with the left hand. Rendziok knows he should have avoided that one.


It looks like Arek Rendziok has been cut.
Rendziok walks into a jab.
Shawn Geissen seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Geissen circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Rendziok drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Geissen follows Rendziok to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:39 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Shawn Geissen!
Shawn Geissen is the new light heavyweight champion!
A relieved looking Shawn Geissen thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
