Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ruffn Tuff (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Prevost (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Ruffn Tuff has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Ruffn Tuff seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Prevost tries to clinch but Tuff moves out of range.

Tuff clinches up with Prevost and pushes him back against the cage.
Prevost is pressed up against the cage. Tuff has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Prevost down to the mat. Prevost avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Tuff checks a leg kick.
Tuff tries to score a power double leg takedown but Prevost sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Tuff somewhat.
Tuff shoots in looking for a takedown but Prevost manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Tuff's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ruffn Tuff. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Prevost misses with a leg kick
and Tuff counters with a nice low kick that buckles Prevost's knee momentarily.
Prevost throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.

Ryan Prevost seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Prevost stuns Tuff with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Prevost works the jab nicely.
Tuff clobbers Prevost with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Tuff shoots for a takedown but Prevost saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Tuff tries to clinch up but Prevost circles away and keeps his distance.

Tuff moves out of range of the body kick from Prevost.
Prevost throws a right and a left that both miss.

Tuff rushes Prevost and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Tuff looks to score with a jab to the body but Prevost is just out of range.

The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Prevost wants to get up but he can't break Tuff's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Prevost loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Tuff doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Tuff manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Prevost manages to get himself to full guard.
Prevost not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Tuff gets to his feet. Prevost looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Prevost closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Tuff has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Prevost wants to stand but Tuff has him controlled and pulls him back into his guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Prevost wants to stand but Tuff is controlling his posture from full guard.
Tuff manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Prevost manages to get himself to full guard.

Tuff stands and steps away. Prevost gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Tuff rushes Prevost and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Tuff tries to score a body lock takedown but Prevost shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Tuff tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

Tuff pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Tuff moves away from the strike by Prevost.

Tuff shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Prevost as he jumps to the side.

and Tuff counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Prevost attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.

Tuff fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Prevost wants to slow Tuff down by chopping away at his legs.
Prevost leaves Tuff with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
