Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Christian Birchmont (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kieran Foran (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Foran has chosen Barbra Streisand by Duck Sauce as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Birchmont misses with a looping right.
Foran throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Birchmont moves in looking to clinch but Foran pushes him off.

Birchmont jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Foran walks away with a smile on his face. Birchmont gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Birchmont tries to clinch up but Foran circles away and keeps his distance.

Birchmont ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Birchmont no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Birchmont is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Birchmont postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Foran is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Birchmont, into his guard.

Foran might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Birchmont kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Kieran Foran.

Foran throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Birchmont works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Foran accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Birchmont has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Foran can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Foran wants to control from the top but Birchmont keeps moving.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Birchmont has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Foran should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Birchmont has tightened it up now! Foran should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
