Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Panais Kaimakli (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Laldama Mirapthlak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Panais Kaimakli!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Laldama Mirapthlak!
The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Daniel Cesar and Leandro Rodrigues.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kaimakli dives in and scores a takedown into Mirapthlak's guard.
Mirapthlak can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Kaimakli controls the pace.
Kaimakli knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Mirapthlak on the ground.
Mirapthlak controls Kaimakli momentarily but Kaimakli frees himself.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Panais Kaimakli wasn't doing enough on the ground.

Mirapthlak tries to sprawl but Kaimakli drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Kaimakli is looking to take a break and control but Mirapthlak is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Mirapthlak manages to escape and get back to his feet.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Mirapthlak is defended easily by Kaimakli.
Mirapthlak wants to clinch.
Mirapthlak is looking to clinch.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Mirapthlak closes the distance and clinches.
Kaimakli wants to take the fight to the mat but Mirapthlak manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Mirapthlak throws a series of strikes that have Kaimakli backpedaling.


It looks like Panais Kaimakli has been cut.
Kaimakli looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

so Kaimakli counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Kaimakli stands and steps away. Mirapthlak gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Mirapthlak tries to clinch up but Kaimakli circles away and keeps his distance.
Mirapthlak throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Kaimakli looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Kaimakli wants to control but Mirapthlak is keeping him busy.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Panais Kaimakli.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Kaimakli crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Mirapthlak - the referee stops the clock and Kaimakli gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Mirapthlak. Kaimakli manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Panais Kaimakli.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Kaimakli, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
