The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Austurias does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Austurias is looking to clinch but Gago is avoiding it.
Austurias closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Gago did well to prevent Austurias getting side control.
Gago actively working from the bottom here.
Gago is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Austurias pulls his head out easily.
Gago looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Gago might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Austurias defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Gago's arms.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Gago has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Austurias! Can he survive? No! He's out! Gago gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.

Igor Gago tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
