Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Cecil Peabody and Chris Downing.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chmielarz throws a leg kick but Bowens sees it coming and moves out of range.

Chmielarz shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Bowens's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Bowens keeping moving, preventing Chmielarz from controlling successfully.

Bowens is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Chmielarz is aware though and is defending well.
Bowens keeping full guard, as Chmielarz tries to pass.
Chmielarz loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Chmielarz really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Bowens is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Chmielarz is aware though and is defending well.
Chmielarz wants to pass the guard but Bowens is keeping the position.
Bowens wants to stand but Chmielarz is controlling the position.

Bowens is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Chmielarz stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bowens swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Chmielarz stands up and waves to Bowens to follow him.

Chmielarz closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Bowens's guard.

Bowens working for a triangle but Chmielarz defends it easily.
Chmielarz stands and throws Bowens's legs to the side, diving into side control.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Bowens gets back to half guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Bowens has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Chmielarz. Oh but Bowens has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Chmielarz goes limp - he's gone! Bowens jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
