Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Seany Scholes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luke Couture (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Scholes comes to the cage accompanied by Wonderwall - Oasis. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Couture tries to close the distance and clinch up but Scholes swats him away and circles back towards the center.
A looping hook to the body misses from Couture. Scholes does a little dance to reset his feet.

Couture gets tackled into the cage by Scholes. Scholes maintains the clinch.

Couture is fighting off a takedown attempt but Scholes is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Couture to the mat. Couture regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Scholes would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Scholes drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Couture dives on top into guard.
Scholes wants to sweep here but Couture controlling him for the moment.
Couture wants to control from the top but Scholes keeps moving.

Scholes escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Couture gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Scholes has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Couture can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Couture got a little sloppy there for a moment and Scholes has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Couture has managed to get both his arms back between Scholes's legs - danger averted.
Couture slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Scholes pushes a forearm under Couture's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Couture is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
