Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bronco Buster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ryan Gracie has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bronco Buster!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ryan Gracie!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Lou da Vinci and Chad Campbell.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Buster's waist but Buster gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Gracie off to one side.
Gracie displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Buster throws out the jab.
Buster scores with a push kick.
Buster misses with a low kick.
Buster throws a lazy right hand but Gracie sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

and Buster takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

and Gracie counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Buster manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Gracie manages to get himself to full guard.

Gracie is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Buster slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Gracie has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Buster's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Gracie throws a series of punches but Buster avoids them all with ease.
Buster takes a swing at Gracie's ribcage but misses.
Gracie takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Buster bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Buster lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.

Buster lands a head shot.
Bronco Buster seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That kick from Buster tenderised Gracie's leg. Gracie is trying to keep his angry face on.
Gracie blocks the body kick.
Gracie tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Buster takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Buster gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Gracie.
Gracie shoots in for a double leg but Buster sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Gracie feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Buster wants to sweep here but Gracie controlling him for the moment.

Buster wants to stand and escape but Gracie is having none of it.
Buster seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Gracie moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Buster has worked his arm free - good work by Buster!
Gracie wants to lay and pray for a moment but Buster keeps working.

That was a close second round but I would say that Bronco Buster will probably get the nod.

Gracie feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Busters jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Buster throws a hook to the side of Gracie's head but Gracie sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Gracie's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.

Gracie shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Buster lands a leg kick that knocks Gracie off balance momentarily.
Buster pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Buster. Gracie shrugs it off though.
Gracie throws a shot from downtown. Buster moves away and avoids it.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Buster, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
